    Exploration Licence

    Explorationarea: km2
    Term:
    5-year initial term, extendable at the Minister's discretion on shown grounds.
    Renewal:
    Extension application with supporting grounds.
    Expenditure:
    Minimum work/expenditure per licence category.
    Reporting:
    Annual exploration-licence return, lodged via Service Tasmania.
    Rent basis:
    Indexed annually by fee unit; a Special Exploration Licence carries its own schedule (e.g. lower rate for years 1-2, higher thereafter).

    Retention Licence

    Expenditure:
    Reduced relative to an EL.
    Reporting:
    Annual return.

    Annual, fee-unit indexed.
